Summer Hours
9 AM - 5 PM, THursday - Sunday
At Mac Market: 1140 NE Alpine Ave, McMinnville, OR 97128
The gates are open to the newly transformed courtyard at Mac Market, and Berry Creek Garden is welcoming its first season. With spring underway, the nursery is now open and filled with carefully selected plants ready for gardens across the valley. Our shop and flower shed are still taking shape, but the heart of the garden is already alive.
Berry Creek Garden is a place to explore native and climate adapted plants, discover thoughtful tools and goods for the garden, and connect with others who care deeply about the land and the community we share. Visitors are invited to wander the courtyard, learn something new, and experience one of McMinnville’s newest gathering spaces for gardeners and nature lovers alike.
Our Plants
Native and climate-adapted plants form the foundation of a garden that works with the Willamette Valley rather than against it. These plants are naturally suited to the region’s wet winters, dry summers, and varied soils. Once established, many require far less irrigation, fertilizer, and maintenance than plants that evolved in very different climates.
Native plants are especially important for the health of local ecosystems. Many pollinators, birds, and beneficial insects depend on specific native species for nectar, pollen, seeds, and shelter. Incorporating native plants into a garden helps rebuild these relationships and creates habitat that supports wildlife throughout the seasons.
Climate-adapted plants expand the possibilities. These species often come from regions with Mediterranean-style climates similar to western Oregon. They offer resilience, color, texture, and long seasonal interest while still thriving with minimal summer water.
Together, native and climate-adapted plants create landscapes that are both beautiful and practical. They reflect the character of the Pacific Northwest while helping gardeners build spaces that are durable, ecologically supportive, and connected to the place they grow.

About Berry Creek Garden
Berry Creek Garden is a neighborhood plant shop and garden space rooted in the landscapes of the Willamette Valley. The nursery focuses on plants that belong here: native species, climate-adapted varieties, and plants that support pollinators and healthy ecosystems. The goal is simple. Help people create beautiful, resilient, and connected gardens in the places they live.
Many gardeners want to do the right thing for the environment, but feel overwhelmed by technical advice or scientific language. Berry Creek Garden exists to bridge that gap. The nursery translates horticultural knowledge into practical guidance for everyday gardeners, making it easier to choose plants that thrive, conserve water, and support local wildlife. Whether someone is planting their first pollinator bed or redesigning an entire landscape, the focus is on clear information, thoughtful plant selection, and a garden that works with nature rather than against it.
The shop is also a gathering place for people who care about plants, creativity, and the natural world. Workshops, seasonal events, and collaborations with local growers and makers create opportunities to learn, experiment, and connect with others who share a love of gardening. Berry Creek Garden is not just about buying plants. It is about building a deeper relationship with the land, the seasons, and the community that grows alongside it.
